Case study

A four-city rollout delivered to one standard and one documentation set

A SaaS platform expanding into Europe and the US needed identical infrastructure built in four cities within a quarter, without hiring in each market. DataOptix delivered all four builds to a single elevation and labelling standard using local engineers in each city. Every site was handed over with matching as-built documentation.

Challenge

What the customer was facing

  • Four builds in four countries inside one quarter, with a product launch date that could not move
  • No local staff in any of the four markets and no appetite to hire ahead of demand
  • A requirement that every site be identical, so that runbooks written once would work everywhere
  • Different facility operators in each city, each with its own access, delivery and cross-connect processes

Solution

What we did

  1. One elevation drawing, port map and labelling convention agreed up front and applied unchanged in all four cities
  2. Local engineers in each market, briefed from the same build sheet and reporting into a single coordinator
  3. Hardware delivered directly to each facility and accepted by our engineers against the packing list
  4. Cross-connects ordered at each site in parallel rather than sequentially, absorbing the slowest carrier lead time
  5. Identical as-built documentation produced per site, differing only in serial numbers and circuit IDs

Result

Where it left them

The platform launched in all four regions on schedule. Because every site was built to the same standard, their operations runbooks needed writing only once, and later expansion into a fifth city reused the same build sheet unchanged.
