How it works

Request, dispatch, resolve

Emergency requests are triaged immediately rather than queued behind planned work.

  1. Step 1: Request

Tell us the site, the cabinet, the task and the urgency. One message is enough to start.

  2. Step 2: Dispatch

We assign a vetted engineer who already holds access to that facility wherever possible, which is what keeps response times short.

  3. Step 3: Resolve

Work is completed with your team on the line if needed, then photographed and written up so the ticket closes with a record.

What customers say

Judged on the difficult jobs

  • They had an engineer on the floor inside two hours and sent photographs of every port before touching anything. That is the difference between a supplier and a pair of hands you trust.

    Infrastructure Manager

    Financial services, London

  • We moved 120 racks across three sites without an unplanned outage. The move-group plan and the rollback point for each wave are what made that possible.

    Head of Data Centre Operations

    Managed services provider, Frankfurt

  • The audit found eleven devices drawing power that nobody owned. It paid for itself in the first quarter on reclaimed rack space alone.

    IT Director

    Retail group, Amsterdam

Case study

120 racks moved across three sites with no unplanned downtime

A managed services provider needed to consolidate three Frankfurt facilities into two without breaching customer SLAs. DataOptix audited the estate, built a dependency-aware move plan in eleven waves and executed the migration over nine weekends. No wave overran its change window and no customer recorded unplanned downtime.

Frequently asked

What is the difference between remote hands and smart hands?

Remote hands covers simple prescriptive tasks such as a power cycle, a cable swap or reading a status light. Smart hands covers skilled work needing judgement on site: installing and configuring hardware, tracing faults, terminating and testing fibre, and troubleshooting alongside your engineers. DataOptix provides both, and most requests that start as one turn into the other.

How quickly can an engineer be on site?

Pay-as-you-go requests carry a 4-hour response SLA. Block-hour customers are dispatched on a 2-hour SLA and take priority over ad-hoc requests. Response is often faster in cities where our engineers already hold facility access.

Which cities do you cover?

London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, New York and New Jersey are our deepest markets. We also cover Stockholm, Helsinki, Milan, Rome, Singapore and Dubai. Paris, Dublin, Northern Virginia, Dallas, Chicago, Zurich and Madrid are growth markets served through our vetted engineer network.

How much does smart hands cost?

Pricing depends on the city, the service model, the urgency and the skills required, so we quote each request rather than publishing a rate card. Send us the site and the work and you will have a quote back quickly.
