Questions about site access

Why check the night before?

Most access failures are paperwork or logistics that cannot be fixed at the door. Checking the night before gives you time to get on the access list, book an escort or print documents.

What is the most common failure?

Name mismatch between photo ID and the access list. Security will turn you away if they do not match exactly. Check spelling, middle names and preferred versus legal names.

Do I need an escort?

Some facilities require escorted access at all times. Others allow unescorted access after induction. Check with the site contact before you go, because escort adds waiting time.

Can I take photos?

Some sites ban photos entirely. Others allow them with permission. Always check the photo rules before taking any pictures, because a violation can end the visit.
