How this is worked out

Every rate is shown and editable. An estimator with hidden rates is not a tool.

On-site time is the sum of quantity times minutes per unit across all tasks. Contingency defaults to 20 percent. Travel is doubled for the return trip.

Task rates are starting values for planning. Actual times vary by site, access and complexity.
